Tomorrow is UH’s Homecoming, so you all know I had to do a post about game day style. Homecoming to me is not just another fun filled game, it’s all about welcoming back past students to enjoy an eventful day of celebrating the school and all its traditions.
When I went to UH, homecoming meant tons of fun but also a lot of work. I was a sorority girl, a Phi Mu, and we would spend a few weeks prepping for the shows, float and the parties. All so much, but can definitely be tiring after it’s all sad and done. lol
Honestly though, one of my favorite memories of Homecoming was 2009 when my husband, the boyfriend, was on the Homecoming court for UH. It was the coolest thing and I was seriously so proud of him; I even made my own shirts and wore them to the game. 🙂
Game day style is always one of my favorites to get ready for, but the funniest part to it is that my hubby actually takes longer and changes more times than I ever do; you al know how much he loves the cougars!! <3 Now that we finally have some cool weather, an outfit like this is perfect for any game day, but here are some of my tips for a perfect game day look.
1)Wear your college colors proudly
2)Make sure your outfit is comfortable. The last thing you want is a dress that is too short or wearing heels/booties that your feet are dying after the long day.
3)No big bags. Stick to a small cross body so your arms are free and are just carrying the essentials: ID, credit card, cell phone and lip gloss.
So to show some other great game day looks from fellow Texas schools, Baylor and Texas A&M, I have special guests Sarah from Haute and Humid and Jessica from Thoughtfully Styled. These mamas are some of the sweetest ladies that I know, and so blessed to have met them through blogging.
I hope you all have a great Friday and weekend!! Go Coogs!!!
