Guys, we are officially 4 days away from Christmas, isn’t that so crazy?? I don’t know about you, but I feel like I get so excited about the holidays and before I know it, they are over in a heartbeat. I want to make sure I’m taking in every fun moment with Sofia since this is her first one and to knock out a few things off my list… seeing the lights in River Oaks and having her meet Santa are just a few.
Until then, though, I still have to make a few more pit stops for my Christmas shopping and one of my favorite places to go in the city is the River Oaks Shopping Center. They literally have everything you need from apparel, home decor, beauty and gifting services and a plethora of fine dining locations like Americas, California Pizza Kitchen and my favorite dessert place Macaron by Patisse.
When it comes to gifting for family or friends the River Oaks Shopping Center allows me to knock out a huge percentage of my shopping because what I love to give are things that I know will pertain to that specific individual in my life. For example, my sister is a huge workout person and goes and does something active every single day. I recently told her about Ryde and she stated she had never been but wanted to try it out, so I know exactly what I am getting her this Christmas. 🙂 For my mom and mother in law they like to do things that involve trying something new, and one place that I know they would love would be Sur La Table. My sister in law gave me a gift two Christmases ago where we both learned how to make four different desserts and it was so much; any mom would love it. For my hubby, it would be about the food, because the saying “A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” is completely true, and lastly Sofia would have a blast at Gymboree class and playing with other babies. These are just to name a few.
When thinking about holiday shopping, I always try to dress in a somewhat festive attire to get me even more in the mood, and red buffalo plaid always hits the spot. This one I got from Old Navy right after Black Friday is seriously one of my favorites and I got it in the green plaid version as well. When you do purchase it, make sure to go down one size since they run a little big.
So for all my Houstonians, you still have 4 days left, so make sure to head to River Oaks Shopping Center soon, and for those that don’t live in Houston be sure to check their website before you go to learn all about their stores and restaurants here.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!!
