Two Styles To Wear To Prom

So I am not going to lie that even writing that title was a little shocking to me because it makes me realize how long ago was my prom, i.e. making me feel really old right now.  I had my prom in May 2005..yes people that is 12 years ago, and thinking back about mine and even seeing my cousins going to prom, I realize how much money you spend on a dress that you literally wear once, maybe twice if your lucky.

Of course you not only want to look amazing, but I feel like everyone wants to be so over the top or have this crazy ball gown with so much fluff it makes you look like a cupcake.  Even with my prom I never went that route and did a silk slim fitting halter dress, but did have a fun bright color because I wanted to stand out from my high school crowd.

Now that 12 years has passed, still cringing writing that, I realized that girls heading into those big moments really need to not only feel pretty, but stand out in something that will last them years to come; whether you spend $50 or $500.

I have been lucky enough to partner with a Houston prom and gown store Envy Couture by Anil to show you all two styles of gowns that you can wear to prom that will not only make you look fabulous, sexy and stand out, but also will be perfect to wear to those future parties, galas, sorority/fraternity socials and so forth.

When I saw these two dresses they instantly won me over.  The black two piece adds this slight sexiness with the gorgeous appliqué rhinestone crop top and long flowing maxi skirt train, and then you have the burgundy dress that is an all out classic stunner.  The sheer lace and beaded detailing that covered from the waist up made me feel so elegant and fancy; who wouldn’t love to feel like that right??

So for all my juniors and seniors out there, here are two options to choose from when thinking about your prom looks this year or next.  You can and never will go wrong with a dress that is not only classic and fits your body like a glove, but also simple and yet has stand out elements.  In 10, 20, 30 years you want to look back and still be able to say how amazing and elegant you look.  I know for me I still love my dress, but maybe would have went with a more subdued color. ;D

In the end though, as long as you feel beautiful and confident in what you wear that is THE most important thing.  I hope you all have the best prom and would love to see your dresses if you share them with me. <3  Have a great Monday loves!!!
