When I think of the word mother, madre, mutter, all I think of is an amazing, strong, compassionate and never ending love…because that is what I think about when I think of my mom. My mom is one of the most giving and loving people I have known, especially the way that she was with my sister and I, and now that I am a mom, the word takes on an even bigger meaning.
On March 3, 2016 I gave birth to Sofia Everly Rojas. The most amazing gift that God has ever given me, and I could not be more thankful. She gives me happiness, joy, excitement, a world worth living and she gives me LIFE…she gives me a reason to get up every single day and push to be the best person I can be for myself, for her and for our family.
Even on the days where nothing seems to be going right, laundry is pilling up, beds aren’t made, dishes aren’t clean, food isn’t made, toys are all over the house, the dogs peed and I have yet to clean it up or Sofia has a complete meltdown and nothing seems to work….the moment she gives me a hug or smiles at me, I forget all that crap and just feel my heart burst with happiness.
Being a mom is NO JOKE. It is seriously the hardest job that you will EVER have and one that will be there until the moment you are no longer here, but it is the most rewarding.
Once you become a mom, you are honestly the biggest badass out there. You legit, carried a human in your belly for 10 months (yes, it is actually 10 people), gave birth and keeping them alive.
To all the moms out there, you are all heroes. You work every day, tirelessly to do and be the best that you can be for everyone around you and sometimes it doesn’t seem like it is enough, but it is. We are STRONG…we are MOTHERS.
We can take on anything that comes at us, even though it might not seem like it, but we can and don’t ever forget that. Go out, kick ass because we are badasses!!!!
WE ARE STRONGER AS A MOTHER!!!
