Happy Monday loves!!! Diego and I just enjoyed our little staycation in the city as part of my birthday gift for him and it was so perfect and fun! It was a total surprise to him when I told him on his birthday the last day we were in Cabo and he was so excited; plus the fact that I got him Rockets tickets as well. We stayed at Hotel Alessandra which is a brand new luxury downtown hotel that opened in September 2017 on behalf of the hotel and Elaine Turner.
The moment you walk into the hotel you feel the opulence and magnitude of it’s greatness. I have been to many hotels in Houston, but I can honestly say that this hotel is by far my favorite. From the detail to the decor, the open layout, the light that beams through the large windows and the warm greetings you receive from the entire staff, the amazingly delicious food, the beds that make you feel like they were made for you..it was impeccable.
In addition to that it is connected to Green street, which includes tons of restaurants, shops and places to go watch performances, i.e Rockets, that are only 5 blocks away. It made for the perfect little getaway and it also helped that the Rockets kicked Golden States butt. Woot Woot!!
We stayed in one of the executive suites which included custom Valencia Group bedding, premium linens, lounge seating, marble bathrooms, free-standing soaking tubs, walk in showers with rainfall heads, lots of closet and storage space, plus an oversized sofa, cocktail table and chair.
It does not get any better than this. I told Diego I wish we could take this whole setup home with us, especially the bathroom.
Ahhh, the moment I walked out to this pool area Diego and me loved it and just wish we had more time to take a dip, especially since it hit the 70’s this past weekend. It had a very NYC vibe, which I absolutely love, and the clean white lines and the view was not too bad either. 😉
We most definitely will be headed their again to enjoy it.
The main restaurant at Hotel Alessandra is Lucienne’s, which consists of a French/Mediterranean cuisine. Since we had the Rocket’s game at 7:30pm, we setup our dinner reservations from 6pm to ensure enough time for our 4 course meal. From the menu you have 6 courses to choose from and Diego and I each chose different things so we could enough as much as the meal as possible.
During the entire meal and after course we just kept saying “WOW”. Be advised that each course is small, of course, but it was the perfect amount of food. The meals were immensely delicious and had so much flavor and texture that I wanted to keep eating and eating.
Now onto what I wore the day we were on the staycation. As I said in the beginning we were staying at the hotel on behalf of Hotel Alessandra and Elaine Turner. So in honor of this amazing staycation, I wanted to share this Elaine Turner look that I love.
This cashmere sweater is currently on sale and also available in a beige. I ended up getting a large so I could wear the sweater off the shoulder and pair it with my favorite bralettes; I mean how cute right? Then pairing it with these super comfortable black booties and suede hobo bag made for the perfect combo.
This giveaway will give a lucky winner the opportunity to kick off their new year with fashion, fun and over $2000 worth of prizes.
