Hi friends!! I am slowly getting around to posting about out trip, but it always takes a lot longer. 😉 We headed to Spain at the end of June as part 2 of our anniversary trip and 100% did not disappoint. Right behind London this city was my absolute favorite and can’t wait to go back when Sofia gets bigger.
Where To Stay:
This hotel was the ideal place and location for our stay in Seville. It was so close to many shops, restaurant and the river. Every day we would take the main street to the right, Calle San Eloy, and this was one of my favorites. No car, no bikes, just people walking and enjoying the little streets.
The hotel also had a great pool on the top floor that had a stunning view of all Seville. It was so nice to just sit, relax, swim and take in the real siesta life of Spain.
WHAT TO DO:
DAY 1 (Half Day)
Hop on Hop Off Tour
So we decided to do this as a quick view of the main places to see, but honestly it wasn’t work it. If you have 2-3 days in Seville, you can see all of the better sights since some of what they share with you wasn’t worth our time at all.
Going back to 1248, this is one of the first ever bull fighting rings in the world. When we entered it was like going back in time and feeling how intense it would have been just to see these poor bulls flight.
A military watch tower that is right across the street from the bullfighting ring. We didn’t get to go inside but I made sure to grab a photo across the street as part of our hop on hop off experience.
Day at The Rooftop Pool
After a busy day of traveling and running around, we headed to our rooftop pool to get some R&R. The views were amazing and you can see if above with Sofia and I’s matching bathing suits. 🙂
Dinner at Alameda De Hercules
This plaza was huge and had tons of restaurants and open space to enjoy. We grabbed some tapas and then headed to have Sofia burn off energy at the park that was right in the enter.
DAY 2
The first part of the day we got picked up by our tour guide at our hotel to do a half day walking tour. The gentleman we had was super nice and understanding with Sofia, and also asked us what we normally like to see and do so that way he could cater the day for us. This is ideal because Diego and I are not museum people and those that like to listen to tons of history, so he as good about sharing details here and there for us.
Plaza de San Francisco– Will pass this on the way to the next two stops.
So if you are a big Games of Thrones then when you come here you will immediately know where you are. The location is one of Dorne, and it is exactly how it is depicted in the show…and our tour guide told us that just two weeks ago some actors from the series where there to film. WHAT?? Seriously so cool.

This place was spectacular. From the immensely colorful tiles, to the showcasing of every city in Spain, it was really is “The Spain Plaza”. Sofia loved walking around on each cities little sitting areas and calling out all the horses, and became obsessed when in the center of it all, there were flamingo dancers. While they danced she starred so deeply and eventually began dancing as well That girl is definitely made to be a star.
Bike Ride and Park At Plaza De Espana
A fun family thing we did was grab this cyclotour bike and spend 30 minutes on the grounds to bike, take in the beautifulness and of course stop at a park. We grabbed ice cream, some drinks and candy and make it a fun experience. Sofia especially loved sitting in the front and feeling like a big girl.
Here we got to see the tomb of Christopher Columbus while also seeing a absolutely stunning cathedral. Make sure to head up to the very top to see a stunning view of the city.
Take the steps all the way to the top and see this gorgeous view of the city. Sofia loved it because the bells would go off, and even till this day she will say “The Bells, You Hear It? Ding, Dong!!”
The Jewish quarter is a beautiful area to walk and get lost in the city.
DAY 3
So this day was super interesting and funny because Diego thought we were leaving this day and we were not. Needless to say I wasn’t happen because I packed up all my clothes and when in my travel attire, i.e not picture worthy. lol This was also “upsetting” because the two places we were to had the mot amazing floral walls I could have her dreamed of, which would have been great on the blog and IG. lol Oh Well!! 😉
This was our first stop and was such a cool structure. We went to the top and there was even a little park for Sofia to enjoy so we made sure to have her run around and play.
This floral enchanted location was one of those that we didn’t see as a highlight to go to in the city, and after viewing we thought that this place should be part of the top 10 things to see in Seville. I die over flowers and bouganvillas, so this place was an absolute dream. There was only a handful of people there compared to hundreds at different locations, so it was definitely a hidden gem.
Dinner at Mariatrifulca
This was our last night in Seville and we decided to travel across the river and head to go get some dinner. It was definitely our favorite night on our entire trip. Across the bridge was a party…from tons of restaurants, liveliness from the people and kids running around, it was exactly out pace.
We saw this restaurant straight from the bridge and it was absolutely gorgeous. We grabbed a table outside and every few minutes some new musician would come by and perform; Sofia loved it. They would sign and she would dance and then get giddy to give each one of them a coin for performing for “her”. 🙂
At the end of the night we danced, acted silly and stayed out till almost midnight. We totally took on the whole Spanish life.
Things To Know/ Suggestions
- Get a fast pass or private guide for the main attractions. This allows you more time to explore and it is obviously quicker since you pass all the lines.
- Take on the Spanish way of life. Wake up late, take a siesta during the day (shops do close), and then have a late dinner and stay up till late. This will allow you to be on their time and not walk around waiting for things to open or enjoy.
- Seville has parks EVERY WHERE. We have been to many countries and cities but NEVER have I seen something like this. I know I share it a lot on my social media but as a mom this is something you love to see. It was like a Starbucks, parks were 5 mins away from each other.

Did you bring a stroller with you? How did you find maneuvering that around the city?

Yes I brought my Uppababy G-Luxe stroller and for moving around quicker at airports and train stations I would put my daughter in my Ergo carrier. Other than that we would have her walk around.
