2020 Goals: Prepping for Baby Boy

Thank you Gordmans for sponsoring this post.   As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

2020 has been one that I have been so excited to have come because this year we will be welcoming our second child, a little boy, in April.  In August we found out that we were pregnant and in September we found out we were having a little boy, so our hearts have been so full and happy since those special moments, and can’t wait to give Sofia a sibling; we all know she is going to be the most amazing big sister.

One of our goals as a family was to be more prepared and ready for baby number two.  When we had Sofia everything was so knew and like any first time parents it can be really overwhelming.  Since we had already been around the block before we were so much more confident in the parenting aspect and getting the last pieces of the puzzle ready for when he makes his arrival.

The top thing I wanted before Baby Boy comes was to have his room all setup and ready.  When planning on decorating his room Diego and I were deciding between an animal or moon/star theme and I am so glad that we chose the animal theme because it truly is the cutest thing ever.

When shopping I always love to grab pieces from multiple places and one of my favorites is Gordmans.  They are literally a one-stop-shop store with great options from home decor, to fashion and beauty.  Everything is priced at such affordable amounts that I never feel bad leaving with more things that I thought I would.  😉

Since Gordmans is an off-price retailer, meaning they buy excess inventory from department and specialty stores and then sell it at greatly reduced prices, I came home spending less than  $200 to decorate my son’s nursery. That includes splurging on my large Giraffe, which is one thing I KNEW had to be in the room when he arrived.

After scoping the store for a good while (I love to browse), I came home with a few things that I was so excited about decorating Baby Boy’s room in.  Below are all the items that came home with me.

ITEMS THAT I PICKED UP FROM GORDMANS

Melissa & Doug Giraffe

Books

Hamper for Dirty Clothes

Little Mountain Signs for Wall Shelving

Navy Pillow for Rocker

Onesie Set

By utilizing all these pieces in our son’s room, it truly made our vision come to life and we couldn’t thank Gordmans again for having all the perfect pieces to complete it.  Now all we must do is wait and before we know it, Baby Boy will be here and we all get to enjoy his room that much more.

Happy New Year’s Everyone and please make sure to let me know what your goals for 2020 are going to be as well. 🙂
