Hi babes, last week I headed out to the river for a few days with Diego’s family and we had the best time ever.  Diego and I haven’t been to the river since we first started dating (over a decade ago) and honestly know that we went it is probably my favorite place to go.  With COVID we are making an effort to stay off of planes and way from hotels since that is where you are around so many people, and instead get Airbnb’s to have a home all to ourselves to relax and enjoy.

When thinking of places to go we were thinking of doing a river trip since we all haven’t and I came across this awesome two story home on 7 acres and private access to the river.  Even though it is quite a trek it is 100% worth EVERYTHING!! We spent every day at the river and the entire time we only saw 2 people pass us on a boat fishing and they were gone in 1 minute.  It is super tranquil and quite and the river is very calm and low, which made us parents more comfortable with 3 toddlers and a baby.  There was a higher part of the river which allowed us to set up chairs and sit right in the middle of the river; nothing but perfect.

If you are looking for a fun trip in Texas I would definitely suggest this house or any house on the San Marcos River where the property has it’s own private entrance; it definitely makes a world of difference.  Also, just a quick note that this property is 7 miles away from the San Marcos Outlets and only 3o minutes away from the cute and quaint Germantown of Gruene (said as green) where I shared a little bit HERE.
