July 21st was definitely a day that I will never forget. I was totally not feeling myself; I felt tired, my stomach felt like it had the worst bug ever , I couldn’t find anything that I wanted to eat without wanting to run the other way and constantly having to leave the office to try to get some “fresh air” hoping that would help whatever was going on with me.
Right when I went home I decided to a pregnancy test, and after the longest few minutes of my life I saw those beautiful two lines and started to tear up instantly. When I saw the results I knew there was no way I could keep the secret to myself for the next couple of hours; my husband and I had plans to meet up with some friends for a cycling class. I went ahead and grabbed the pregnancy test, some University of Houston baby socks that I had bought a few weeks back because they were so stinking cute (anyone knows my husband and I literally buy everything UH lol), the Go Pro and headed to our bedroom. My husband was in our bathroom getting ready, so luckily it gave me time to set up and grab our dogs for the big reveal. When he finally walked into our bedroom you could see the pure excitement in his face as his eyes teared up. It is a feeling and a face I will never forget.
My husband and I knew we wanted to wait till we hit one year of marriage before we even thought about trying to have a child, but could not have imagined that we would be blessed so quickly with the wonderful news. Paris is definitely the city of love 😉
March 2016 cannot come soon enough!!!
