Baby Feeding and Sleeping Schedule

Hi friends! I’ve gotten tons of messages asking me about Daniel’s sleeping and feeding schedule and how we are managing to get him to sleep through the night. Today I’m sharing a simple tentative schedule we follow as well as some tips and tricks that help us!

  • 7:30/8:00 am: wake up & drink 4-5oz bottle 
  • 9:00 am-10:00 am: nap on me or in bassinet
  • 10:00 am: BF & pump extra milk after
  • 11:30 am-12:00 pm: Breastfeed
  • 1:00 pm-4:00 pm:
    • long afternoon nap (can be a little earlier or later)
    • place in his room upstairs with it room dark (black out curtains are a must)
    • sound machine
    • AC at 73 & fan on
    • drink 4-5oz bottle, burp & place in crib sleepy but not asleep
  • 5:30-6:30 pm: nap in wrap
  • 7:15-7:30 pm:
    • bath time (5 mins)
    • dry & put lavender lotion then place in pj set
    • sit down & feed a 5oz bottle, burp & rock for 1-3 min
    • place in swaddle with sound machine on, ac at 73 and fan on low & leave the room
    • baby will be sleepy but not asleep
  • 4:00-5:00 am:
    • take off swaddle (depending on the swaddle you can keep it on, we just don’t want to risk a dirty diaper or something getting on it)
    • change diaper
    • drink. 5oz bottle, burp
    • place swaddle on & place back in bassinet
    • baby will be sleepy but not asleep

*NOTE:babies move a lot in the middle of the night & sometimes we wake them bc we hear them grunt or move but in actuality that is just part of their sleeping pattern. For Daniel we don’t get up until we hear a little cry that shows he is awake & then peek to see if his eyes are open.  This has been the game changer & he is going on 4 weeks sleeping through the  night.
